Q:Do you typically use yourself as a model for your portraits? Or do you draw straight from your brain? I usually can't put what is in my brain on paper, but when I have a reference photo, I can't stop drawing. I was just curious about your methods.

Mmhm mmhm. I draw from my brain, and if I’m having trouble with anything, I’ll take a photo with my webcam and use that as a reference photo.

I find it more difficult for me to use a reference photo because then I start worrying about whether it looks good enough, but if I draw straight from my brain, I never worry about that. It’s weird, really.
